Introduction- Debt Journey of a Young Millennial Woman
Raise your hand if you've been in debt for most of your twenties. And I'm not talking just student debt (although I'm sure a lot of us are drowning in it). Hi! I'm Mona- I'm 30 years old, and I started a journey last year to be debt free. I made some poor decisions in my late teens and early 20s, and I realized that I don't want to spend the rest of my working life living paycheck to paycheck, always on some payment plan with this credit card or that car. I want a simpler life, one where I'm not tied to a job because I need the salary. I've always worked hard, and I've never not paid a bill on time- and yet I feel I have mountains of debt. In future posts, I plan on detailing my debt, my plans to pay it off, and other general personal finance goals. Join me on my journey!
